Welcome to Wellness Unbound

Discover More Health, Reimagined...

Hey friend šŸ‘‹

Discover More Health is now Wellness Unbound: A Newsletter Where Food, Fitness, Peace & Prosperity Meet.

More on why Iā€™m doing a full-scale rebrand below.

If you want to join 80 other readers learning how to redefine wealth & cultivate health, subscribe below.

So What is Wellness Unbound?

Wellness Unbound is a combination of stories, studies, perspectives & pieces of motivation designed to help you make sustainable change.

Itā€™s a health blog, but not a ā€œyou should eat this & not thatā€ type of blog. There are more than enough of those.

Imagine a study-guide to help you not just pass but thrive in the class of life.

Weā€™ll cover the big rocks when it comes to wellness - sleep, nutrition, mindfulness, habits, and connection to nature.

Plus, weā€™ll explore some niche throughlines to health - creativity, community, sustainability, spirituality, and even financial wellbeing.

I am by no means an expert in any of these subjects, but rather an enthusiastic experimenter.

Iā€™ll share what Iā€™m doing, trying, & thinking about in my life, and how those things might apply to yours.

Iā€™ll explain whatā€™s working & whatā€™s not. Whatā€™s worth trying and, perhaps more importantly, whatā€™s not.

Plus, the end of each newsletter will reveal recommendations for songs, podcasts, videos, or articles that I hope support you along your journey.

Before we dive deeper, please allow me to reintroduce myself.

Who Am I?

Iā€™m Aidan. I was born outside Philadelphia and now live in Bethlehem, PA.

I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades & master of none.

Iā€™m fascinated about the intersection of Systems Change, The Food Paradigm & Human Evolution, and I currently work at Gardyn - a hydroponic gardening start-up, where itā€™s our mission to Reimagine The Food Paradigm.

By day, I work as a financial & growth analyst. At night, I write.

Outside of work, I enjoy exercising, cooking, practicing guitar, and playing sportsā€” such as soccer, tennis, & ultimate frisbee.

I love listening to podcasts & music, but I cannot pick a favorite between the two.

And I love books too. I read up to ten at a time and only finish the best ones. Lifeā€™s too short for a boring book.

Discover More Health marked my initial venture into writing about health, but in recent months, Iā€™ve felt compelled to rebrand.

I discovered that life and health are not always about more.

Thereā€™s power in simplicity.

On that same note - Iā€™m a big fan of Refinement, the concept of experimenting & clearing space for deeper alignment. This informs everything for me, including this newsletter.

In fact, this publication is personal.

Recently, I was diagnosed with Hashimotoā€™s disease, an auto-immune condition that slows down the thyroid. While Iā€™ve known that I had hypothyroidism since I was twelve, I never knew it was autoimmune in nature.

Like any chronic condition, this comes with a range of challenges & opportunities around healing and optimizing for optimal health.

Now that Iā€™ve had a few months to digest this news, I understand this diagnosis as a part of my purpose to educate about food, lifestyle, and systems-change.

Thatā€™s why Iā€™ve spent the last couple months diving into functional medicine, supplementation, and nervous system regulation.

What has emerged is Wellness Unbound: my effort to help us collectively shift beyond any limits - mental, physical, emotional, or otherwise - that keep us bound.

I believe that moving into a healthier future begins with reconnection - to ourselves, to each other, and to our planet - and that we all have a role to play in that reconnection process.

Thank You For Reading

As weā€™re wrapping up - please remember:

Large Change Occurs in Tiny Increments.

It could be useful to think in terms of a plane flight: altering the launch trajectory very slightly, can lead to a great difference over time.

I also encourage you to take all of this with a grain of salt. Todayā€™s post & all to come.

This newsletter is my perspective, based on my experience - coupled with the desire to help you live a healthier life, even in the slightest way.

Take what resonates. Throw out what doesnā€™t.

If you like what you hear, please send it to a friend or family member. It helps the newsletter grow and would mean the world to me.

I appreciate you being here and Iā€™m looking forward to the journey ahead.

Your friend & supporter,

Aidan

Podcast of the Week:

Dr. Zach Bush is a triple board-certified physician who is leading a movement of Regeneration. In this masterful interview led by Rich Roll, Zach Bush examines the future of the planet and our role within in. Specifically, how human & planetary biology are connected, how soil quality affects our microbiome, and how we can take actionable steps towards a regenerative future.

Song of the Week:

Trevor Hall is up there as one of my favorite artists at the moment. His music blends folk, electronic, and roots genres, with conscious & poetic lyricism. This new song, ā€˜all of my lessonsā€™ is no exception. Itā€™s an uplighting tribute to learning lifeā€™s ongoing lessons (through the form of a sound).
